Pastores Dabo Vobis has been adopted as the motto of the PAROC. The dictum has been inspired by the motto of the mother institute, Marymatha Major Seminary. Excerpted from a well-known Jeremiahn text, “Then I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will lead you with knowledge and understanding” (Jer. 3, 15), the motto of the institute expresses its vision and mission: While the seminary focuses on the formation of the candidates for the priesthood, the PAROC functions from a research perspective, aiming at the formation of lay-religious-clergy leaders.
