The PAROC Research Institute has received “Pastores dabo vobis” as motto. The dictum has been imbibed from the motto of the mother institute, Marymatha Major Seminary, Trichur. Extracted from a famous Jeremiahn text, “Then I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will lead you with knowledge and understanding” (Jer. 3, 15), the motto of the Institute, expresses its vision and mission: research and formation in pastoral studies of the laity, religious and clergy. While the seminary focuses on the formation of the candidates to the priesthood, the PAROC functions with a research perspective and aiming at the formation of lay-religious-clergy leaders.
