About

To raise voice for the rights of a community is an inevitable mean to sustain the community into the future. A proper diagnosis of the problems faced by the community is the starting point of treating the group into development.

Justice J.B. Koshy Commission is erected by the state government of Kerala to look into the present conditions of the backwardness of Christian Community and to submit reports.

Dioceses of various Christian denominations of the Church in Kerala entrusted PAROC Research Institute to initiate and guide a scientific study on Socio-economic status of the Christian community employing tools of social research. Such a study has to cover major variables reflecting the advantages and set backs of the community.

The survey on socio-economic conditions of the Christian Community will gather information on following variables: demography, economic wellbeing, challenges in education and occupation, social welfare, health, expenditure and savings, political participation, land, participation in governing bodies, migration, deprivation, living standard.

It is a sample/senses survey, applying a detailed questionnaire and the results will be subjected to Focus Group Discussion. The study has been conducted until now in seventeen dioceses of Church in Kerala. We are preparing reports at various levels basing the topics and regions. Those dioceses/ Communities which are interested in conducting socio-pastoral study may please contact us.
